These fotos are taken in various parts of Okinawa. The fotos of the bottom are of yane or what we would call a mausoleum in English. The Ryukyu people have long worshipped their ancestors and will go to visit these mausoleums once or twice a year, taking many of their family members and have parties inside the yane.
