Cape Hedo is located at the northernmost tip of Okinawa's main island and on clear days one can see Yoron Island, the symbolic Japan-Ryukyu demarcation point, to the north. A monument, the Memorial Tower for the Reversion of Okinawa, symbolizing fulfillment of the reversion in 1972, is situated on Hedo and the mountains situated nearby, whose name escapes me, contributes to the beautiful landscape.
